A natural byproduct of shellac processing, recovered during solvent manufacturing — comprising approximately 60% esters and 35% free alcohol. Used in polishes, cosmetics and food-grade coatings for its glossy finish and water-resistant properties.
The material enhances shine in wood, automotive and furniture polishes, and serves as a substitute for Candelilla wax in cosmetics, confectionery coatings and specialty formulations, thanks to its film-forming and protective characteristics.
